Buttock lift or belt lipectomy is a cosmetic surgical procedure which improves excess, sagging buttocks by raising the skin over buttocks. Buttock lift surgery is an outpatient procedure with the use of general anesthesia. Generally the incision is made at the waist or slightly below the waist. The skin is then tightened and closed in layers and a sterile dressing is applied that tightly holds the skin to reduce swelling and aid in the natural tightening of the skin.
